After the markers were in place, lights were illuminated on the memorial to reveal symbols representing schools, churches, "one Language", and the Flag.  "TAPS" sounded to end the service.

Past Grand Chefs de Gare Breakfast

In keeping with a long established tradition a special breakfast wascatered at the hotel for the past Grand Chefs de Gare.  Three persons who were not in that category were invited to join the breakfast; Sous Chef de Chemin de Fer David Lutrell, still-in-office Grand Chef de Gare Ed Grow, and not-yet-installed Grand Chef de Gare Bill Bayles.  The latter pair were required to sit at a separate table.

(They allowed me to take photos and leave.)
