Stanley Simon was selected by Voiture 1602 for initiation at this Cajun Wreck.  Stanley Simon passed away on 19 February.

As noted above, Dan Barman and Sandy Kousman are from Texas Voitures.  Sandy had been through white-collar initiation previously and chose to complete the ritual here.  She serves as Historien at both the Voiture Locale and Grand for 40 & 8 and for LaFemmes.  When Jerry Brady was installed as Chef de Chemin de Fer last fall, he asked her to serve as National Historien.  This may be the first instance of a Voyageur completing the initiation ritual and donning a Gold Chapeau of national office.  Sandy is a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served three years during the early eighties as a Navy Corpsman on an aircraft carrier.  She is now working in the V. A. Hospital in Temple, Texas, a good follow up career for a corpsman.
